2019 Gas Door Wont Open

Hi,

I have a 2019 GMC Terrain. Is there some sort of lock out that disables the door from opening because I cannot get it open? Or is it just frozen? Any ideas on how to get it open? Thanks.

Since it is a "push to open" type latch, if you have an accumulation of ice under that is thick enough to prevent movement, then you will/may not be able to disengage until it thaws. Maybe take a hair dryer to it before leaving home to ensure it opens.

I had my 2018 Equinox fuel door freeze shut one time.
My garage was warm enough to melt the ice and I was able to open the door.
When I was the car in the winter I dry the inside of the doors and hatch so they don't freeze shut.
I now dry the inside of the fuel door.
