I’m new here!!

Just got a 2019 terrain black edition 3 weeks ago and love it aside from the constant tap in the headliner and driver side door! Any suggestions before calling the dealership?

Have the same type rattles. Its on/off. I greased the rubber seals on the doors. Helped but didnt eliminate it.

Dont believe anything is loose, just the doors moving around. Starting to think it might be the outside window trim rubbing against the frame.

GL man let ne know what u find.

I actually thought it might be the window trim as well. I did notice that if I push on the head liner in the area of the handle it stops, so its for sure coming from that area. I made an apt to take it in next week since its due for an oil change anyway. I'll update if they find a fix! Wish me luck!

I believe I read an earlier post that the area in question is actually the speaker that is located right in that area. There was a brief discription what the poster did to correct the problem but seems like too much work for a minor rattle that I only really notice on heavy bass music.

Welcome to the forums.

Actually noticed this at first too on my new black edition Terrain I bought a couple of months ago. It really bugged me at first but it eventually just went away in its own. Maybe just things settling?

I've been following this forum since March in anticipation of getting my 2019 Terrain SLT. There is a lot of interesting information and I try to check-in at least once a week. I've seen several posts about brand new Terrain and Equinox vehicles with issues and I'm perplexed as I'm in my 5th month with my vehicle and so far, not a single complaint (nock on wood and I hope I haven't jinxed myself!).

Was my Terrain build when a snap performance inspection QA team showed-up from Detroit to see how the assembly line shift was performing and my vehicle was the one they followed from start to finish? Should I buy a loto ticket?

I must be driving my Terrain like a little old lady from Pasadena, or the ones with issues are as gentle as a bull in a china shop with theirs.

People tend to only post about problems, and the other 99% just keep quiet.

Meh...in my experience the QC at the GM plant in San Luis Potosi is bad. My 2015 VW built in Mexico was much better than the Terrain.

My 11/18 build fresh off the truck had a bubble in the paint, a missing fastener on the lower exterior trim and even the rear GMC emblem is crooked. I mean come'on people lets get it right.

That said I'm still happy with it, just frustrating little things.
