Paint issues

Just picked up a '12 LS. On the hatch there are super tiny spots that look like rust. It's also on my badges. Tried to clean it with some light rubbing compound but no joy. Any ideas?

Re: Paint issues

You may want to try a Clay Bar. The spots could be Rail Dust from when the car was originally shipped from the factory.

That's exactly what I'm seeing. Does this Iron-x get rid of it and where would I get some?

Re: Paint issues

Try Autogeek.net. They have EVERYTHING. Clay bar will work as well, you just have to take your time if you want to get it all. Rail dust is a pain in the ass.
