Brakes

I’m having constant dragging and whining noises coming from the brakes. Brakes were recently changed by dealership. Any ideas? I think rotors were resurfaced and pads replaced. Warped rotors maybe?

A few potential issues come to mind:

Caliper piston sticking in the bore of the caliper
A defective soft line/hose (collapses internally)
Pads sticking in caliper assembly
Caliper itself not sliding/centering on rotor
If drum brakes - wheel cylinder, self adjuster not functioning.
Parking brake cable stuck if cable operated - not adjusted properly
Worn wheel hub bearings - causing rotor misalignment
Etc - Etc

There are so many potential issues; a thorough inspection is necessary to isolate the problem.

I was at the dealer for basic oil change. Service advisor had a special for Brakes (Frt or Rear, single axle). Service advisor told me it was just to install new brake pads only for the advertised price. The service did not include resurfacing the rotors. If the brake service included resurfacing the rotors, then go back to the dealer for them to fix it.
