Just now installed my new 20's! Took a sizing chance...

Well, I'm finally getting started on my list of planned mods to the Equinox.

I wanted to start out with a higher impact item, so, naturally, I knocked out the rims and tires today. Now for the bit of a chance I took on sizing...

VXX Borsa 20 X 9.5 with a +40MM offset
Nitto NT555 255/45-20

I'm happy to report that it is indeed pretty close in spots, but there's no rubbing whatsoever. They don't stick way out past the fenders either. Please excuse the kinda crappy photo and, yes, the Equinox needs washed and waxed very badly (probably tomorrow). If anyone wants some specific photos to see exactly how this setup turned out, just let me know.

Thanks, man!

Next up is a dual exhaust conversion (I have a factory lower rear bumper valence from the V6 model ready to go in order to keep a clean look). Most of the setup is from Magnaflow - again from the V6 model offerings. I'll just "Frankenstein" what I need to.

After that is a K&N cold air intake (painted black to keep a clean look under the hood too). Then a full-replacement, NOT an overlay, chrome mesh grille and an LTZ headlight conversion with HIDs. Foglight's will be HID converted too. I also have a factory replacement front bumper cover so that I can properly get rid of the front license plate mount, and the holes they brought with them (don't need front plates where I live in Florida, or even where I'm going to school in Pennsylvania). All the parts are already in my garage right now. I'm finally getting off my butt and making use of them now. HA!

Who knows after that. I'm always looking. Don't know if anyone has tried - I haven't searched the threads yet - but a 2016 taillight conversion looks as if it'll work. I'm trying to keep a nice, clean, tasteful build with a little spice here and there.

...I've got a factory V6 full catback exhaust I took off my '15 at 450 miles. My last asking price was $300, but I'll take a reasonable offer...

...you could easily pick it up in GA on your way back to FL... Just sayin'. ☺️

Fantastic deal! If I wasn't already so heavily invested in my current plan, I might make a go of it. Much like my rim and tire package, I like to throw a bit of cash out there and see what happens in the name of all of us learning. Lots of folks (not necessarily here) told me that 9.5" wide 20's would never work on a "newer" (my 2011) Equinox. Proved that thinking flat wrong.

I already bought the full Magnaflow V6 dual exhaust setup and will do whatever needs to be done in adapting it to my I4 as cleanly and tastefully as possible. I *hope* I can get my welder out for good use again.

How much did your front wheels stick out past fenders? Do you have any pics? Thank you
