Re: Where do you put your phone?
Before we went on our road trip in September I decided I'd get a holder for my Galaxy SIII so I'd be able to use Google Maps, seeing as I was going to places I hadn't been to in 25+ years. I didn't want to have anything on the dashboard or on the windshield as I figure that interferes with overall visibility, so, I ended up with it installed below the MyLink system, as you see below. It did the job well enough, particularly in conjunction with the lovely Google lass.
Yes, as you can see in the first shot, it covers up the CD player slot. Not an issue for me, I rely totally on my USB connection for my en-route entertainment, my 128G thumb drive now holds about 8500 music selections and I can see where soon I'll reach the 10.000 song system limit before I fill-up the drive. When I ordered the bracket the supplier had a promo that gave me a free 12V adapter, which I leave permanently plugged in and use whenever I have to rely on Google maps, which isn't all that often these days now we're back home.
