Cable coming from headliner

I just bought a 2018 Equinox Premier and yesterday I noticed what appears to be an Ethernet cable sticking out of the headliner on the driver side left of the center console. The connector is not plugged into anything. Any idea what this is for?

Possibly an add on power harness for a radar detector or dash cam?

Good possibility.
I would put a volt meter on it to see if it's hot with engine on or off.
If it's hot you might remove it or at least cap it off.

The only issue I’ve noticed with the car is the FM/AM reception is almost nonexistent, no matter where we drive. Sirius works fine. Surely the antenna is not using that cable. I’ll ask dealer when I have them look at the radio. Just curious if anyone else had such a cable hanging around......Thanks.
