They are Entire Car Protection. It’s through Chevrolet when I bought the Equinox. I feel like whoever applied it didn’t do it correctly as it shouldn’t be rusting this quickly even if I didn’t have it applied. Chevrolet basically have me the same response as they did as it didn’t rust and make a hole. Just surface rust... this is their reply...
Although there is rust present on your vehicle, the photos and estimate do not indicate any perforations or holes in the sheet metal. Only rust that originates on the interior panel, where the rust inhibiting products are applied, and rust through causing a hole, would be covered. We have determined the type of rust found on your vehicle is a surface rust condition which is excluded from your warranty coverage. Since surface rust clearly indicates no product failure, we are not liable for this damage.
For the above stated reason we are unable to honor your claim. To prevent exclusion of any future claims in these areas, we suggest you have this non-covered damage repaired. If you choose to repair this damage, please keep a copy of the receipt for the repair, and reapplication of the protection products with your warranty.
We regret that we are unable to meet your expectations in this instance but trust you can understand our position regarding this matter.
The part where they suggest I fix it, was send in bold typing.
