How often are you changing the bulbs, to spend that kind of money ?

beware, the pics for the newer ones still shows the access hole even tho the part doesn’t have it. they show the same part numbers for 10-14 then 15-17 so 14 “should” have it maybe urs is towards the end of the model year when they changed over

When I had hid's. I've must've done it 3x in the 3 1/2 yrs since I've had it. Then i decided to get rid of it completely and went LED's. Was getting tired of the bulbs burning out. I need something brighter than the halogen bulbs that were in the projector. I live upstate where there is hardly any lights on the roads and **** load of deers and other woodland creatures and I drive alot at night. I just like to be prepared if by any chance a bulb goes out I can get to it without pulling the fender. But the fact they designed these SUV's where you have to get into the wheel well to change a bulb and pull the inner fender to access the headlight is terrible. My last car all i had to do was pop the hood and change the bulb. I found some on rock auto for $45 a piece with the access hole which isn't that much at all.

Miss understood that. Thought when he said the headlight he was talking about the housing and not the bulb.

Where abouts ? I am in Northville, and Schenectady.

Are the LEDs much better than the HIDs ? I am considering changing to LEDs in my '18.

I thought your '18 came with LEDs? Well, if not. . and I wanted to spend the money. . I'd get these. Very good reviews.. excellent warranty and company . .. and decent color and light output. Will fit behind stock dust covers as well.
They occasionally have a 10% to 20% discount at holiday times like Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, etc

**** you're way up north. Yea I'm in Orange County, NY. About an 1hr 30min from the city. You're probably going to think that when I said upstate you thought I was way up north as well hahah. I grew up in Queens. When I start heading north and begin to see mountains and forests and going over the Tappan Zee Bridge that's upstate to me hahaha

Between the HID and LED I would say they are pretty equal in output. I was skeptical running LEDs. But the output is fairly nice and lights the road nicely at night. I can see just as good as the old HIDs I had on. I have the LEDs paired as well in my fogs and is an added plus to visibility. They are definitely better than halogen bulbs. But like JayTee said in another thread the LEDs has come a long way from when they originally started and quality in design has improved.

These are the LEDs I have in now in my projector and fogs.

I like these LEDs . . best for more natural lighting rather than the bluish 6,000K

Question. . . did you need to get the "canbus" option to make them work as DRL without flicker? Or are they just plug and play with no CANBUS capacitor and/or resistor?
