Dash cam in 2018-19 Terrain?

Anyone here installed a dash cam in the latest generation Terrain? I'm circling the BlackVue DR900S 4K as it is clean and very unobtrusive (at least the forward-facing unit is.) Routing/concealing the power cable looks to be fairly straightforward and they offer a cable that plugs into the OBD port so you don't have to use a fuse box tap.

With the 2 channel version, there is a smaller rear-facing camera but the Terrain's tiny rear window and the hassle of cleanly routing the front-rear cable is putting me off of that option.

that would be my choice if I were to do it. I would be leery of the use of the OBD port as in the past when I have used this port, "my gmc" reports back that it cannot connect with the computer for the monthly report. Although the rear camera will be a big pain to install, it will really help in rear enders or cars following too too close. Please consider a pictorial if you are doing this for fence sitters like me.

As a general rule of thumb picking up battery power in the OBD port is not a good idea.
Most pins go to one of the major modules thru GMLAN, too many ways to get in trouble.
Only one of the pins will give you actual battery voltage, pin #16 in the 2014 Nox.
