Mitchell Online has the service manual, Cost for the subscription is about $25/yr. Well worth the price.

When I had my pistons and rings replaced. I asked the dealer about the water pump replacement. They had the head off, and timing chain cover, and it would have been a very easy job. They said not to worry about it. The only down side is if seal leaks at the bearing, it dumps into the crankcase. Frequent checks of the coolant resevior is recommended.

I would first replace the thermostat after all those miles. I measured a 10 degree increase in engine temps after the replacement I did a few weeks ago. Very easy to do. I was getting 180-185F on the highway, afterwards it is 190-195F and rarely goes above 200F even in stop and go. Before this it would get up to 215, with fan turn on in city driving. At higher speeds the temps would get down to 170-175F, meaning the thermostat was opening too soon or stuck partially open. High coolant and oil temps are good to get rid of moisture in the winter months.

Do a google search for youtube videos on replacing a 2.4 Chev water pump.
At least 6 on the first page, along with the special tool you will need for sale.
Take your pick.

At 85K yours could start leaking at any time.
