Very low power in Reverse

2017 Terrain. Car has very low power in reverse starting out.

If I am parked pointing downward on a slight grade, when I go in reverse to back up - I press the accelerator almost to the floor and nothing happens.

I hold it down halfway, and very slowly the car starts to back up.

Occasionally I get very slow acceleration going forward.

Once car gets going, shifting/performance seems fine/normal.

Any ideas ? Transmission fluid level ? Don't think I can check ?

2017 should still be covered under the 3yr/36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, even if over 36000 miles I would think the 5yr/50000 powertrain warranty would be applicable, take it to your dealer with your concerns.

As garagerog says get it to the dealer, are you under warranty?
Checking the fluid is always a good idea.
If you have a V-6 you have a dipstick, 4 cyl is more involved.

In any case get it looked at before you fry your trans.
It's possible it could be something else.

Engine revs up and no movement or gas pedal floored and engine doesn't rev up? Two different issues, no engine revving up is engine issue, engine revving up and no movement is a trans. issue. By your post I'm assuming no engine power so hopefully your still inside the 3/36 coverage so dealer can pull engine codes.

Some suffer from insanity, I choose to enjoy it
