Unhappy Cleaning gone wrong?

Recently cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor. Now performance is gone down. It does not accelerate like it used to.Seems doggy. There is no check engine light, it seems to idle normally.Anyone have a clue as to what happened? Used crc maf cleaner and crc throttle body cleaner.

Reset your ECU and unplug neg. battery terminal. It should re-learn after a few miles.

I did have to clean the neg terminal. It was off for at least 10 mins. After I did the cleaning I let it idle for 3 mins then shut it off for 1 min, then let it idle for another 3 before taking it for a drive. Does it need to be disconnected longer or disconnect both pos and neg? Seems like it takes more pedal to get going.

Can you try another MAF sensor? Its prob the culprit. They do go bad. Try rockauto & get you back on track

Just a thought .. . what did you use to clean the MAF sensor? It requires CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner.
The TB requires CRC Throttle Body Cleaner.
If the wrong solvent was used on the MAF Sensor, it could be damaged.
Also, check all hoses and vacuum lines to the air box, throttle body, etc that maybe have been removed.
Check to make sure the ring seal around the TB was seated correctly. Any air leak anywhere on the Air intake will cause a problem.

Lastly, when cleaning the TB. . . not good to flood it with too much cleaner and best to let it sit 30 or 40 minutes after cleaning to let the solvent evaporate as much as possible. I usually used scraps of clean, lint free cloth to sop up and wipe the inside of the TB with hemostats. Avoid "pooling" of the cleaner in the TB or past it in the intake manifold.

Well, the other half of my comment still applies - - -

Do you have a decent OBD II scanner? Borrow one or go to Auto Zone , Advanced Auto, etc and have them check for pending codes and sensor readings. You can have pending codes that will not set a CEL on the DIC.

Anyone else have any ideas? Don’t want to start throwing parts at it.

How did you clean the tb, did you remove it, unplug the harness or move the blade?
Im going off a whim but if you moved the blade too quickly you could have damaged the mechanism that moves it, especially if forced open. I would look for any play in the blade when its on the car and plugged in (engine off of course) then also pull it off and see how it opens and closes. Go Slow.
