Unhappy Liftgate won't open manually

2008 SRX

Everything was working fine until I flattened the battery playing with my new stereo/satnav system (as you do). After jump starting the car the liftgate will only operate with the fob, but stays locked with the vehicle unlocked when I try to open it manually. It just stays locked when I pull on the handle, and when it is open the close button doesn't work anymore. Confused!

Garage
I was wanting to replace the radio/cd player in my '07 SRX with a double din Pioneer with bluetooth etc but was warned that replacing the radio can cause problems in other areas. Specific problems I was warned were to do with the DIC display and also the security/locks. I am wondering if this is what's happening with your car. Did you just install the new stereo?

Yeah, it's a brand new install. I'm thinking it may be a fuse tho'. Everything else is fine. I'm thinking that may I blew the fuse when I jump started it. Yet to check that, I know it's under the rear seat.

Ok, no fuse for liftgate power lock anywhere, only for the power system. The transmission ignition lock is starting to play up so that's getting looked at on Wednesday, I'll get them to check the liftgate lock as well while it's there.
