Well, the desire for diesel has dropped precipitously with the complexity, cost, and downsides of all the emission stuff. Not that emissions stuff is bad, just the poor design we are forced to accept. There are far better designs for SCR and DPF systems that are so effective that even EGR can be eliminated and still have lower NOx and Particulates than setups we are given. Until R&D pulls their head out of their backside, I will not be buying any of GM's diesels.
