2006 Equinox intermittent loss of power

The Equinox has 136,500 miles on it , daughter has owned it for 5 years and put about 40,000 miles on it. It is used as a winter car the last couple years , so it sits a lot during the nice weather. I know , I told her to drive it a least once week. So starting to run again for the winter and it has a intermittent loss of power , which can last a split second or for a few seconds. The yellow triangle / exclamation point comes on and goes out. I have hooked up the scanner several times and it does not have any codes. It runs great other wise (slight heater core leak/cup a week) We had some rust repair completed on the running boards (under the plastic cladding) , driver rear wheel bearing replaced ,two new winter tires and state inspection completed. She is driving my HHR until I resolve this issue. I have ran it about 200 miles so far this winter. I drove it 60 miles today with the TC turned off and no issues. Any ideas?

do you have an awd or fwd? the owners manual describes the triangle and exclamation point reasons to light up. You have a traction control or awd issue. Ensure you scanner can read transmission and ABS codes. You have something going on with one of those systems. If you have AWD, ensure your gear fluid is at the right level and if you have not changed it, start there.

Thanks for your response
It is a front wheel drive and I don’t think my scanner reads ABS codes. Good excuse for new tool. I have driven another 100 miles with no problem (TC shut off)
