Re: cold air intake

Do you need to dyno? No.

*Disclaimer: I'm only sharing my opinion. You didn't pay for it, so my opinion is only worth that much, haha.<br />2013 GMC Terrain SLT-1, FWD, 3.6 V6 (LFX), Sunroof

No
Unless you want to spend $60-100 to let a stranger redline your motor to see that you gained 2hp

They do. Just use the 2010-2012 years on their website.

Re: cold air intake

Question....once the K&N intake is installed....can the stock airbox and system be reinstalled? In other words.....will anything be butchered to install the K&N intake? Thanks

Re: cold air intake

nope. everything is separate in each system, when you install, you will have your complete stock intake off the car minus the sensors that swap to the new intake.

I've got the 3.6 in my 2015 Equinox and have question about the 2010-2012 V6 K&N CAI (77-3078KTK):

I found this post about the V6 CAI:

You could either make a small plate and seal off the hole, tap the hole and use a bolt and o-ring or take the easy route and buy a MAP sensor and install it in the CAI pipe. GM also changed the MAF sensor in 2013 but the mounting plate matches up. The CAI works great with the VMAX ported throttle body I installed last weekend. A lot more pickup and no CEL yet. If anyone needs it the MAP sensor part number needed is: 12644228. Next I'm going to cross reference an Amsoil Nano filter and see if it will fit.
Here are the instsllation instructions:

Is the "humidity sensir" the same as the MAP sensor, so now they provide s block off plate and this kit is now a direct bolt on?

Here's a link to the original thread I'm referring to:

Re: cold air intake

IMO just use the K&N "dropin"...same difference...also comes with a K&N sticker for your airbox...
