2020 Equinox Premier - New Owner

Recently took delivery of a 2020 Equinox Premier - 2.0 Liter turbo. I have selected the "turn heated seats on when remote starting" in the Infotainment system, however when I remote start the vehicle the seats aren't on. I'm using the phone app to start the vehicle, is this feature not able to be activated with the phone app, or am I missing something here. Thanks in advance...

Depending how long you let it warm up you might not feel it much. It does not seem to warm up as quickly as when you have the car on and sitting in the seat.

Maybe that only works when you use the keyfob to remote start it. The MyChevrolet app might not do that. Also, you can tell if the seat heater is on or not by the three LEDs by the button.

Oh, and it might be profile based so the keyfob for the user that set the setting would be the one to test with.

Doesn't matter if you use the APP or the key fob if you have the setting set in the settings it will work. Its does however depend on temperature too. When you auto start the lights also will not light. Once you hit the start button you will have to manually turn the heated seats on as it does not stay after hitting the start button to drive.

What's the outside temp ? They may not come on if it's above 37 - 40 deg. F

In my experience, my '19 Equinox's seats do not get "warm." They really only take the chill off, so as to not be sitting on cold leather when getting in. I also have a 2013 Cruze and it does the same.

I had spinal decompression surgery a few years ago. I'd be going to rehab (physical therapy) during the summer months. They'd apply heat to my back after therapy, but as soon as I jumped in my Terrain I'd turn the heated seats on high for the ride. Sure felt good!

Good thing that I didn't have anyone riding with me. They'd probably think that I'm nuts because I'd have the A/C blasting away because it would be in the mid to high 90s outside, and the heated seats would be cooking my back. What an oxymoron.

Thanks...

One of the posters is correct - I'm not seeing the lights on indicating that the seats have been activated. I am however happy with this vehicle overall, especially all of the tech that comes with this trim package. This is my first Chevy, I've always driven Fords in the past. However, at this point in life I no longer need, or want, a pickup truck. The Ford lineup did not have a vehicle that fit my needs. Thanks for all of the replies - it is appreciated.
