I didn't think my seats were heating on remote start, as the seat heater lights were never on when I got in. I did let the engine run after remote start for about 7 or so minutes, and the seats were indeed warm when I got in.
Seems that when they come on via remote start, maybe they are on 'low' instead of high. I do think that the cloth seats warm up faster than leather also. I basing this on the diff between the 2018 Equinox and our previous 2012 Acadia.
Now, if the seats were just a little bit wider...

Our seats get hot enough that I usually turn them down to medium or low after driving awhile.

That's how our 2018 Equinox works.
Pretty sure our 2008 was the same way.

I wish the 2018 Equinox has a separate control for the butt and seat backs. I would turn on the seat back heater when my back hurts.
The back seats have a separate control for the butt and back, seems odd the fronts don't.

Lee - Thanks for the additional info. I think my issue may be with the outside temp. It hasn't really been below 40, up until tomorrow, when it's suppose to be 18. Oh yeah, and GO CYCLONES!!!

I wish that as well. Though I never checked the owner's manual to see if there were b&b controls for front seats, I'd just been assuming that the reason that I only had one control, per seat, for both b&b was because the controls for ventilated seats are immediately adjacent to the heated seat controls. On the Terrain, there's not any extra real estate on the center console for separtate b&b controls and the ventilated seat controls.

Edit:
So I got curious about what my owner's manual says. I was correct that there's only a b&b control when there's also a ventilated control. If the ventilated control is absent, there's a separate control for the back only. Apparently this is only available on the Terrain (at least for 201 since the online version of the Nox owner's manual describes only the b&b and ventilated controls.

Read the owner's manual, the subsection titled Remote Start Heated and Ventilated Seats. It describes the behavior, and limitations, of what happens when remote starting your vehicle.

This. Using the remote start will activate the heated seats if you have it set up that way. However once you start the vehicle you need to manually turn on the heated seats/steering wheel if you want them to remain on.

Maybe the leather just holds the cold a bit longer? Once I get in and start driving either vehicle, I never turn it above medium or else I may start sweating. My 'Nox also has the heated steering wheel. My first thoughts before trying it were that it would be a novelty. Now I wish the Cruze had it!
