Holden(Chevrolet) Equinox LT 2019 Blue Steel - RIMS?
Hello All. I am new to the forum and am excited. As per my avatar picture I am picking up my first ever car purchased during its plate year. It has done 9,700 km's but that saved me $10k AUD off of the original retail price.
While I like the factory rims in Australia I have seen some examples of people's vehicles on this page in black. While I could not afford the 4x4 option I would that sort of off road look. Would love suggestions on options.
Should I get them powder coated black? at $140 AUD per rim?
Or get something you all suggest?

Why not try the dipped or spray in an aerosol can on one first ? Would be cheaper on the pocket book just to really see if you want that look. Pretty sure some have done this on their rims here ?
Thanks mate I don't even need to do that thankfully. I went into my local TyrePower and they had an interactive screen where you could put some of their rims on a digital version of your car. As mine is going to be new they even had my exact colour.
Black definitely looks better. As the cheapest similar width rims I can find are almost $300AUD a wheel I will get them powder coated.
Next question though is....how do I get the Black Edition exterior.
My car will have a fair bit of chrome that comes as standard. It is officially a 2019 LT 2ltr Turbo. As of the 2020 edition (first Black Edition in Australia) the 2ltr Turbo is only available on LTZ and LTZ-V.
Can I buy the black Trim to fit my model from the US? Or wait till 2020 and see if I can get it direct from a dealer or Holden?
I've Linked below the 2020 Black Edition available in Australia soon.
There are always a bunch of third party sellers for any trim, check amazon / ebay. As long as there are parts available thru the dealer , odds are the same physical parts are available in China etc....from a third party. From my experience with after market accessories, third party is a lot cheaper too.
