2018 Premier Crazy DIC

It happened again.
I wish I had a Hybrid/CNG/Diesel with all other features I am missing now.

I have no idea what triggers these crazy indications. After restarting of the car - it all went back to normal.

Just a funny thing. The car rides great, otherwise!

Wow - it would be nice to be able to have all of those functions.

So a hack for the Start/Stop on 2018+ Nox/Terrains has been achieved. How long until someone figures out a hack to get the goodies seen in tidji's video? It appears, unless tidji is a very capable video editor, that the info is available from the computers, but just not presented to the consumer.

It happens to me, but very rarely. Sometimes the DIC will be blank, sometimes it will show only partial info, sometimes it will only display the (missing) info about road signs readout. All I know I did not tinker with the car, except for the Smart-Auto-Start/Stop defeat module.

tidji, I noticed as your DIC flashed through all those monitored items that the OLM indicated 99% oil life left. Did you just have your vehicle into the dealer for an oil change? If so, I would be questioning them if they did any software updates at that time.

Nah - it all started since I had installed the Smart device defeating my Start-Stop feature. Not blaming anyone. Perhaps just a coincidence.
All they did on Monday was oil change and inspection. I declined tire rotation and cabin filter replacements.

BTW: with my old Ford C-Max they had to re-flash my software many times (14 times in 2013-14. It all resulted in a Lemon-Law lawsuit, monetary compensation and a purchase of a motorcycle for that money received from Ford. I loved the car - I did not like (at all) Ford's inability to handle many unwanted quirks and features of their (great at that time, otherwise) infotainment which was crippling the car (including "freezes" while in traffic resulting in having no brakes! - thank God - only a few times).

Ahhh.... could be an important piece of the puzzle.
Maybe the manufacturer of that device could add that feature as an option.

If they could figure out how to make it display that stuff consistently, they would increase their sales quite a bit.
