Red face Any way to disable ANC on 2018 Nox?

Hello Everyone
Was wondering if there is any way to disable the active noise cancellation on a 2018 Nox? Added a sub and amp in the back and the feedback is terrible. Covering the 4 mics did nothing to help. Trying to find a solution for this one. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance.

In the Gen II Equinox (2010-2017) you could disable ANC buy pulling a fuse.
You might try that idea on your 2018.

I have a new 2018 Equinox. Would you please explain the Active Noise Cancellation feature and the four mics? Thanks.

I tried looking in the owners manual but I didn't see anything about a fuse, I'll check the fuse panel again under my driver's side. Worth a try.

I've read that the ANC is only sent to the front speakers. You could try getting your sub feed from the rear speaker signal and see if the feedback goes away.

I tried to track down the ANC power supply without much success. It may be on the same fuse as the entire infotainment system and radio.

Not sure about the '18s, but the '10-'17 fed the ANC through the subwoofer.

This link explains what ANC is and why it is used pretty well.

The four mics are used to detect the noise the system will try and cancel.

Hi RIT333, I was thinking the same thing since I did tap the rear speakers for the sub. Now I need to try and find where my factory amp is located and try and see where the ACN is connected to it. Any idea?

I seem to recall someone saying that the factory amp is under the front passenger seat. But, the are many audiophiles on this forum - I rarely use my stereo - expect to listen to the Yankee games. You'll notice a bunch of "punch marks" on it from my fist when they play !
