Be careful when filling the fuel tank and never "Top off" or over fill. That will pass raw liquid gas into the Evap canister and ruin it. Designed to handle fuel vapor only.

But. . you probably know that so good for others to know as well.

Question 9 Speed Transmission to be checked

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with their 2019 Nox's 2.0T transmissions? It seems that very intermittently at hot idle, level ground (like when checking mail at the community mailbox) Put Nox in D and it mimics the old turbo 350 trannies of yesteryear. Nothing happens. I refrain from bringing the RPM's up and just go back from P to D again, if not then the RPM's go up (as little as possible). Like a low fluid level. Just had the first service done 3500 miles ago. Going to have it checked next service.

My 2019 FWD 9 speed 2.0 seems to be slow to engage drive when shifting from park or neutral, whether hot or cold; as if the fluid level were low, or flow restricted.

What is more concerning is that when accelerating with moderate throttle application; there is what I would describe as planetary gear noise in about 2 or 3 gear ranges before upshifts. The concern isn't necessarily hearing gear noise; its as if the gears don't mesh properly, making a faint but noticeable rur, rur, rur type noise.

Mine has about 4,500 miles on it. I need have my dealer verify that the fluid level is sufficient and that the noise is "normal" or could not duplicate". The usual dealer provided rhetoric.

9 Speed Transmission to be checked

Hi garbec01,
Sorry, it took so long to get back to you, I have been super busy. I just took my Nox in for its 2nd service today and I mentioned to the service writer about the intermittent operation of the trans to shift into drive from park. They checked it and found that I need a new shifter. Darn electronics nowadays! Now I have no idea about your noise problem. Have them take another look. Let me know what happens. Good Luck!

I have yet to take mine in for these issues. There is another thread titled (strange noise) that deals with the 2.0, 9 speed transaxle.

It appears that mine's not the only one with the noise.

After a few months NO factory build defects, which is the first time ever for me.

Cross my fingers it continues as time go on.

my 2014 2.4L ~90k miles got a new timing chain, pistons and orings. It had previously had 2 of the cam solenoids fixed under warranty and it felt like that issue again when i brought it in and got the news. Prior to this had been rock solid and great MPG. Right now its loud again so going for a check up but power feels fine.

Yep at new 2019 800 miles have a high pitch whistle noise that occurs when the engine is above a certain temp and going above 45 mph. Dealer has no clue. Engineers say to replace the axel. Dealer couldn't recreate the issue so I picked the car up and did it for them. It's not a good start and we're on strike 2 (technically 3 since I picked it up and recreated the problem and picked up the mechanic once the issue was consistent)....
