Post formatting

In the spirit of there are no dumb questions, I am having trouble getting my paragraphs to format properly. Pressing enter and spacing down a couple of lines normally creates a new paragraph in my experience, but here my posts end up as run on sentences. Any clues?

I'm testing this with this post.

I press enter twice and it starts a new paragraph.

I'm on a desktop.

Each press of the enter key drops one line.

If you're ever in doubt about how a post will look, you can always preview it in the "Advanced Options" section

That way you can always have your posts looking the way you want.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
The lazy dog jumps over the quick brown fox
The brown fox and black dog quickly jump into one another in a lazy way
Maybe the OP needs to try experimenting with other browsers, keyboards, etc.

Smart remarks expected, noted and discarded. I've been doing this stuff for more than twenty years guys. I. KNOW. HOW. IT. WORKS. I am saying pressing enter twice (which shows on my screen as a new paragraph) has actually appeared on the thread as a run on w/o spaces. The only x-factor is I am using library computer and I occasionally do run into weird stuff. So lets try again. Pressing enter two times. Now my screen shows that I am typing a new paragraph just like I on the original post of this thread, which, when I posted it, turned into the run-on sentence mess you see above.Lets see what happens this time(this is another new paragraph).

Apparently I'm not crazy after all. Oh, and to directly answer one of the serious questions posed, I am using a desktop running Windows 10 in a public library in Tucson, AZ. I should bring my laptop in someday to see if anything changes.

Ohhhh ... well, those hidden keylogger programs people install on public computers can sometimes cause that when the <CR><LF> characters trigger the password captures, then they forget to put them back in...
