No Political Ads

I for one don't want to see political ads on the forum.
Perhaps the mods could screen the ads and keep this a place above the fray.
I'm talking about the recent ads from Tom O'Halleran about voting on impeachment.

Thoughts?

No, on a desktop, I'm thinking it may be regional as Tom O'Halleran is US House of Rep. from AZ.
My point is I don't want it to start as Nov. is approaching.

As you don't see any political adds now, Why would you comment on them now? I have never seen an add on this forum yet. Paranoid a little?

Ads on the forum today, large with red back round and picture of Tom O'Halleran.
Reread my first two posts.

I'm sorry, I might have jumped the gun. I use complete add blocker on all my sites. Any site that pushes adds on me is an unwanted site. I repeat. I have never seen an add on this forum.

I use a browser extension called adblock plus.

It blocks unwanted ads very effectively.

I doubt mods can filter the ads if the ads are being displayed by the like of google ads etc...which depending on your location or browsing history etc target you with ads. It is kind of creepy that after browsing for shoes online and you go to some forums or other sites and see ads about shoes all over the place. So political ads can be very regional...you'll see like ads about House representatives etc depending on where your network is locating you

What about the *size* of the ads? I would think the forum has some control there. When that GM Buypower gas nozzle picture expands out it takes up the entire screen, pushing the forum posts out of view! That’s just grossly excessive!

So you’re scrolling down, reading posts, and then !!BAM!! there’s this obscenely-huge unclear bitmap picture of a hand on a gas nozzle pushing everything out of view!

What’s next ... pop-up videos that play for 60 seconds before you can read the next post I’m sure it’s been considered.
