can this procedure be used if your are changing over to a set of 4 mounted winter tires that have 4 new GM sensors ?(different than the ones that came with the car) i.e same model/make sensor, but different Serial Number.

I would think that they all transmit at the same frequency, so it ought to work, but would like someone with real world experience. i.e. trying to avoid paying the dealer to "initialize" the system each winter/summer.
