It should come as no surprise that Diesels are not selling in the US. Diesel has always had to fight the negative perception that Diesels entail. They are a little more popular in Canada but we don't matter in the scheme of things as our pop is so small. In Europe it is no surprise that Diesel was selling well. They tax on liter displacement and have outrageous taxes on fuel, their fuel should cost no more than ours but with their socialist manipulations they force their population to accept what they should not have to. Now the same socialists are now trying to get rid of diesel even though some car companies are making it easy for them.
GM as I have said in the past is 10 years late to the party. If they brought out the fluster diesel and the 3 liter Duramax then it is a good chance that these would have had a better foothold.

Instead gas has narrowed gap considerably and now the diesel main reason for being is negated. Even the large Pickups will feel the effects and lose more sales, there will be of course some commercial vehicles that diesel makes sense but it will be costly as it now.

My company gave up on Diesel pickups of all three makes 6 years ago as unreliable and too expensive to repair.

I also supect that selling GM Europe, especially the Opel part is a large factor as they were the designers and manufacturers of the medium diesel engine of GM.
I suspect Buick Regal Tourx is getting chopped too soon as it is manufactured by Opel for GM even after the sale of Opel.

Put the 3.6L engine in that TourX and I’m a buyer at $25k. Not a penny more though, and it better be well-equipped, too!

Well they canceled my order that was placed almost 3 weeks ago... I either have to choose one that is on a dealer lot of find something different.. I like the TourX but it's interior isn't up to snuff with it's price even with 10k in incentives.

It's a closeout price. Good enough.

Thanks but not interested in an Acadia. Don't like the looks or the V6 engine.
