FS: K&N Intake System

I have an extra K&N intake system for sale. Fits 2010 to 2017 Equinox and Terrain 2.4L. Purchased on Ebay. Includes the Cone Filter, Intake, adapters and fittings. See picture. Used less than one week. Extremely clean.

I opted to get the full kit from K&N, so this one is available.

This intake eliminates the poorly designed, oil/air separator/reservoir in the stock air intake that clogs up and freezes, causing rear seal failures.

Improved throttle response, reduced cruising speed load (better on hills), maintains fuel efficiency, does not cause lean condition codes, and sounds is a little louder if that is what you like.

Not recommended for extremely dusty conditions.

I paid $175, will sell for same, includes shipping in lower 48. The full kit new is over $300.

I have the original slip-on pre-filter for $15 extra.

Located in Central Iowa for local sale.

The full kit has custom metal enclosure that holds the filter and the bolts to the bottom half of the stock plastic housing. You can see it on the K&N site. I assumed it was fully sealed enclosure but it is not, just a shield to deflect some of the heat from the engine. I may modify the enclosure, weld up the openings, powder coat it and install a flange to connect the pipe on my Nox. This way I can use the stock paper fillter or the panel filter from K&N. Will probably cost another $50 to do it myself and make it true Cold Air Intake.
