Order Date: May 1, 2010
Car Dealership: Westgate Chevrolet in Edmonton, Alberta
Model Year: 2010
Trim Level: LTZ AWD V6 with chrome wheels and sunroof
MSRP: $40,365
Discount (at time of order): $959
Price w/ GST and Admin Fees (at time of order): $41,811

Purchase Date: June 25, 2010
Total Cash Sale: $37,056
Price w/ GST and fees: $39,238
Grad Rebate Incentive: $750
Total Price: $38,488.50
Down Payment: $15,000
Price to finance: $23,488.50

SO, the discrepancy between the final price at time of ordering and the price they gave me when I went to take it home is because GM intoduced Employee Pricing the day my 'Nox arrived at the dealer, so that saved me roughly $2500, plus my grad rebate and the discount he gave me at the time of ordering. I was pleasantly surprised with that one since he had told me he would save me about $1900 with the employee pricing initially :).

just ordered 2011 2LT equinox black exterior with no add ons, on 9-20-10 from Suburban Chev in Eden Prairie Minn. It will take 6 weeks to get it.
MSRP was 26,715, bought it for 25,935, this was the best price in the twin cities, also i am using the $1,000 rewards from gm credit card.
Bought it for $24,935, can not wait to get it.

We got $1801 off MSRP, good deal for such a hot selling vehicle I think. Didn't have to buy any other accesories/warranties/services to get down to this price and they beat PNC's rate too.

Purchase Date -10/2009
Car Dealership incl city/state - Ballweg Chevrolet, Madison WI
Model Year - 2011
Trim Level - 1LT
MSRP - $25,695
Invoice $24,698 (supposedly -- info from dealer. I was a little dubious, but focused more on final price & let it pass)
Incentives received - GM Card $4,255
Price Paid after incentives- $20,550

I don't find this format terribly useful personally so allow me to elaborate: vehicle is LT1 with PDD driver convenience ($845 MSRP), black granite paint ($195 MSRP). Final negotiated cost $24,698 "invoice" + $107 "dealer service fee" = $24,805 "true price" (for which there is no line above). Minus a $50 dealer gift card. If I did not have GM Card earnings, I would have gotten $1,000 off for Credit Union discount. Instead, after subtracting my $4,255 GM Card reward accumulation, my personal final price was $20,550 before taxes registration etc, and a $50 giftcard thrown in.

Of course they tried to sell me thousands of dollars of dealer add-ons, but I refused them all. I'm happy, the LT1 has quite a lot of standard features for a base+1 trim level!

Purchase Date: 11/21/10
Car Dealership incl city/state: Irvine Chevy, Irvine, CA
Model Year: 2011
Trim Level: LTZ
MSRP: $33k
Invoice: $30,054
Incentives received: 120 delayed first payment, 4.9% financing for 60 months
Price Paid after incentives: $30,054

Just to give options: black granite metallic, FWD, I4, Nav, sunroof, rest of LTZ options

I got GM supplier pricing as my employer is a partner with GM. It is said that I get $400 below "dealer invoice". I know thats not what the dealer gets it for, but officially thats what they claim GM sells it to them for.

That 8% sales tax in Rochester is a killer. Add back $1700. Who is selling Chevy's in Rochester other than Bob Johnson?
8%?! And here I was complaining about 3.125 - in VA there is different sales tax rate for cars even though our normal sales tax is 5% and 2.5% for unprepared food.

daj - that MSRP you post isn't MSRP of your car but that of vanila (no options added) 1LT FWD and it's 2010 number.
Go here and build it out, or let us know each and every option you got so we can go find what the MSRP was.

How many miles is the 5 year warranty for? You could generally find it for a lot cheaper from other places like GM outlet that you can find on here.
In addition to GPS, what else did you add? Is it All wheel drive of front wheel drive?
How much is sales tax there? - this could be different from sale tax on goods at retail stores.

Hi Equinox2,

I just built it and the total price with my option showed $25,500 With driver's convenience package (Power driver's seat, backup camera, bluetooth)

It doesn't mention how many miles on warranty but it expires after 5 years ($2125 charged). Regarding adding other features, I had only added GPS/Navigation ($1,899 charged). That's also not yet installed as they said some parts of the dashboard is not yet available so I have to wait until end of January. It is FWD (Front wheel drive). Sales tax paid $2629.19. Also, they have included Tire warranty charged for $525 dont know why they did mandatory! :( I just noticed that on my bill just now.

I am thinking to complain them as I feel like I paid way more than I have to :( but I think nothing I can do other than regretting. :(

Thanks,
DAJ
