SRX or Terrain Denali?

So which is better of the three? Now i say three as I just bought a 2012 Nox for the wife. She loves it but I am not wowed by the sound system, its the I4 with the ANC. I have been driving a custom Silverado 3500 for years, the first thing I did was to yank the stock radio and installed a high end Pioneer with new speakers.
All I read about the Nox and Terrain is owners not happy with the sound, even the premium sound.
And I want all the niceties like the heated seats, auto dim mirrors etc.
And the SRX being a sorta "super" Theta seems to have in even its base model better suspension than the best Terrain.

I can justify a higher price for the SRX, adter all its still cheaper than buying a new Silverado 3500 dually.

I just kinda think its better to get the SRX instead of a full option Terrain or even a Nox.

Re: SRX or Terrain Denali?

If price is not a major concern, the SRX is definitely a more substantial vehicle. You should be able to get a 2013 SRX for around $8,000 off sticker, so look at it as getting an SRX for the same price as a Terrain Denali 6 months ago. You are right, the SRX has a completely different suspension, especially all-wheel-drive models get the electronic magnetic ride control. I have a front driver SRX and ours handles very nicely.

Re: SRX or Terrain Denali?

We considered stepping up to a Terrain Denali but with the research I've done if we decide to step up we're going with the SRX. Except for the 3.6 lt V6 theirs just not that much difference between our SLT and the Denali but I see a lot of difference in the SRX. It appears to be in another class all together. Grandpa always said "it only cost a dollar more to go first class" but to be honest, grandpa would have a heart attack if he knew what a new car would cost today lol. I'm bias too because I just think that SRX is a sweet ride.

Re: SRX or Terrain Denali?

There is a 2013 SRX in Anchorage 50 miles away, last I checked its the Luxury trim, and they are asking $48k for it, not to far past a fully loaded 2014 Terrain Denali.

Re: SRX or Terrain Denali?

I have the Terrain Denali V6 and have no complaints whatsoever. Great vehicle. A friend who has a new SRX really likes it with one exception: the CUE system. He HATES it. Everything is touch control and very complicated. He loved the Intellilink system in the Denali.
