I think the combination of it being discontinued along with problems attaching a proper hitch will cross the diesel off my list. Itís a bummer because Iíve always wanted a diesel. Remember the silly clip of Trump in the big truck making the horn blowing motion? Well, the little kid in me wants to do that. LOL

Now if I consider a 2018 Terrain w/the 2.0 turbo gas, there are so many competitors that will get similar MPG. Some even have a V6.

Now seeing in my area that diesel fuel is about 20 cents cheaper than regular gas, been a while since I've seen that.

Last October I was tempted by the diesel, as leftover 2018's at my dealer were offered with $9,000 off of msrp.

I'm not pleased with the emission controls on the diesel, and also had concerns with service if there ever was an issue. Probably not too many qualified tech's for a diesel E-Nox.

Instead I'm driving a 2019, 2.0, FWD, Redline Equinox. Mileage isn't great; hovers around 31 mpg, AC on, with premium fuel, but I do like it. Might do better on longer trips, as my commute is around 12 miles X2 daily.

Seriously considering a 2019 SLT diesel. Looking to downsize a bit from the eight+ year-old Acadia and a lot of my driving is highway. There are several still out there and good deals can be had. The discontinuation bugs me a little, but so what? There are no other options in this size range with this kind of fuel economy.

With the AWD 1.5L, I consistently get 33-34 mpg highway and 30 on mixed driving. I don't feel that the economics of a diesel work in my fuel pricing.

Yeah, fuel cost is the real variable. In my city, at two stations literally less than a mile apart, one has diesel for less than regular gas, and the other has it for more than premium. Weird. My biggest concern is the CA tree-huggers further demonizing diesel and getting additional taxes slapped on it.

I don't want to sound like a Toyota dealer (the ones in NM are lousy ...my experience from the couple i have tried to get a test drive)...but the 2019 rav 4 hybrid is similar on highway mpg and better in city mpg.

If you are a dieselhead...then Mazda CX-5 is coming with a diesel in the 2020 models...the mpg is nothing to talk about but it may have more torque and towing than the nox for the lack of economy.

Not wanting to to take anything away from the Nox/Terrain segment. They're great cars but have you considered a 2019 Acadia V6? I was getting very close and sometimes better mpgs than our Terrain.

I'm coming out of an Acadia V6, and the trim level I would want is more than I can spend right now.
