Re: Refreshed 2016 Terrain/Equinox spied testing, full redesign in 2018

Before buying the 2015 a month ago, I did as much research into the 2016 as I could find.

Turns out the info was right. The 2016 is a very mild refresh. Almost like GM wanted to do something but was afraid to do too much.

And I'm not into the whole LED thing. Way too many times I see one led bulb burned out on 3rd brake light assemblies etc and you can't replace just one bulb.

Imagine how good that would look in front of the car on all the time.

Now - 2018 Equinox 2LT 2.0T AWD
Was - 2015 Equinox 1LT 3.6 AWD

Not to mention, the 2016 will have a shorter warranty than the 2015. Also, we weren't sure the CD player will still be standard on the 2016.

The refresh is limited because the 2017 is going to be all new and the present changes will usher this one into fleet sales.

As for the LED thing I can give or take on it. People will be mad when they find out how much they are to replace.

From what I have found the CD is gone, not standard or an option. That is the way it is going to be on most cars and mfg. very soon.

'Nox sales up 42% this year. For a 7 year old design! So, a mild refresh for 2016; we'll be lucky if the new version isn't held up 'til 2018!

Spy shots of a 2018 'Nox has been spotted. From what I've read, it'll be on the new Delta platform and it will shrink in size similar to other compact crossovers. Good thing we picked up the Terrain when we did because we chose it for its closer-to-midsize 2nd row legroom. Also, we were able to load it up with options without going near $40k. Mid-sizers tended to cost $45k when nicely equipped.
