My 2011 (3.0) started surging at idle and died a couple of times. No codes. I looked at the throttle body and it was black inside. Cleaning it cleared up all the issues.
I saw that suggestion and cleaned it up a bit when I swapped the sensor. My TB was replaced not too long ago as the original went on us, but it was fairly dirty. I drove the Terrain to work today and it was fine for me, I'm taking it again tomorrow.
