Unhappy Phonebook Update Failed

"Phonebook Update Failed"
I have a 2017 Equionox LT with the NAV/infotainment system.

For the last 6 months, my phone was connected with out a problem now Every time I drive the vehicle, I get a "Phone book Update Failed" message over the speakers and onscreen
I have a iPhone 5 with the latest apple update, which I successfully paired. The little blue-tooth icon is lit, so I know I'm connected. I have also tried leaving phone off not in the car of course still get this annoying message

Any ideas?

I could find nothing useful in the owners manual.

Did the car get a update that changed the folder locations?

Can I shut this Off?

"Update Failed" Msg

About 1/2 the time, I get the same msg from my iPhone 7 and, earlier, my iPhone 6. Both phones function perfectly using Bluetooth. No idea what this means; probably a software glitch in the "Nox?

Funny and I have a 2012 Terrain and I never had a issue with my phone book with my iPhone 7plus.

My '16 had a center stack software update done to it. Still has erratic issues with radio/hvac but better. Check and see if that update applies to your 'nox while still in warranty. GM is aware of software issues.

Some suffer from insanity, I choose to enjoy it
