The day we purchased our 2010 Terrain 2.4L  I was looking for mods to do.
I did the K&N COLD AIR kit
[url]http://www.terrainforum.net/index.php?topic=2577.0/url]
With no exhaust kits available I emailed customer service at Magnaflow to ask when and if they had any plans for a exhaust kit for the 2.4L. Help
The email response was fast and make comment not at this time but possible.

Well today I recieved the email saying the kit is now available.

Yep, got my email today, also. No one has any pricing info even though Magnaflow shows it in stock. I am guessing it will be in the ~$600 range since it is a single exhaust.

Summit Racing can get pricing and beat any advertised price so they may be your best bet. I would be sitting down at I expect it may be $500-600 dollars as are most of Magnaflow systems.

If you really want one I guess it may be worth the price but for what little gain it is a lot of money. At least it is still stainless so it will not rust off.

I would rather put the money in my play car.

Probably not the full warranty - just the Powertrain portion !

Odds are it will only effect the warranty on your no longer in use exhaust system and or if a check engine light that may be related to the change. GM is pretty loose on the exhaust changes.

Also Magnaflow is pretty good engineering the exhaust to not turn a check engine light on. They have to keep the flow slow enough to let the two O2 sensors to get a good reading. This in part is what limits most exhaust from doing much unless you can have someone go in and reflash the computer and remove the learn feature.

Might note the factory pipes are also stainless too but of a lower non shinny grade. They will last the life of the car in 95% of the applications anymore.

Can't see any issues that MagnaFlows system will throw engine codes,,, parameters on the O2 sensors regarding exhaust flow won't be affected.

I noted that in my statement that Magnaflow normally does a good job. But I deal with all the major MFG at work and they all run into an issue from time to time on a new system. Trust me I have to deal with the MFG and the customer to get it right.

This is a catback, unless the Stock system has a downdraft O2 sensor behind the last Cat it wont be an issue.

Please let it go I did not say it was an issue and state clearly that Magnaflow generally has it sorted out. I sell and service these systems so do not blow out of context my statment.

Could've fooled me - I think those were your exact words,,

For a cat-back???
sOUCH, i miss my guys at the shop. I remember paying $200 for a full 3" DP back kit on my 2004 Monte SC/SS.

Maybe i don't want a magnaflow kit on the Terrain. lol

I really see little point in a catback exhaust for this type of vehicle.

The MPG and performance gains would be small if any.

I am interested in how it would sound with exhaust.  I have heard a couple of Edge's with the Magnaflow exhaust and got really interested in a system for the Nox.  Power gains might not be that much but could get a mpg freeing up the stock exhaust from all the resonators.?.  But I don't know for sure.  Anyone with their resonators removed get any better gas mileage?

I'm with you, its needs that low rumble.
I'm working on a CAI but I have had the third Cat and resonator removed.
Anytime you free up the exhaust and/or the intake, your going to have power gains. Parasitic loss is reduced hence putting that power to where it belongs - to the wheels.
So MPG's can go either way - depending on the application. For this vehicle, I can see the MPG increase a little.
I'm not one to drive 60-65 mi/hr all the time but I have hit 27mpg multiple times crusin' at 75.
One other member here posted 30mpg with the V6 but that was at 62 mi/hr.

I'm not overly concerned on the MPG, just better sound and putting more of the available HP to the wheels.  thumbs up
