Re: 2018 Equinox & GMC Terrain 2.0L EPA Fuel Ratings Released
Premium gas = NOT. So, GM, which, admirably, has previously engineered all its mainstream vehicles to run on regular, now requires high test in the 2.0T engine. How did this happen? Have they lost their engineering mojo? They took >10% off the weight and replaced the old 2.4NA and 3.0NA regular gas motors with the 1.5T [that's just 90 cubic inches!] and this one. Talk about gaming the CAFE regs! So, my replacement for my 2016 I4 FWD will have to be the 1.5T. If enough people do the same, that'll goose their fleet mpg numbers. Will I be able to stay off the turbo enough to equal my current mpg's, currently standing at ~26 combined driving? Probably not. Thank goodness for cheap gas.
